Privacy Policy

How Branmoor collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to branmoor.com and subscribers to The Branmoor Brief.

Effective: 2026-05-12 · Last updated: 2026-05-12

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you subscribe to The Branmoor Brief, we collect the email address you submit and the page on Branmoor from which you subscribed (so we can understand which of our pages generate signups). When you contact us by email, we receive whatever you choose to send.

Information collected automatically. When you visit Branmoor, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard request information including IP address, user agent, time of request, and the URL requested. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic measurement, and are retained per Cloudflare's policies.

What we do not collect. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics. Browser local storage is used only to remember your personal drug-shortage watchlist on your own device; that data is never transmitted to Branmoor's servers.

How we use information

  • Newsletter delivery. Email addresses submitted to The Branmoor Brief are used solely to deliver newsletter issues. We deliver the newsletter through Beehiiv, our newsletter service provider, who processes subscriber data on our behalf.
  • Correspondence. Email you send us is used to respond to your message and improve our work.
  • Aggregate analytics. We may review aggregate, anonymized request logs to understand which products and pages are used and to improve them.

What we do not do with your information

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers or behavioral profiling on the site.
  • We do not collect special-category information such as health records, precise location, or payment information.

Service providers

Branmoor relies on a small number of service providers, each of whom may process limited personal information strictly to provide their service:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, request routing, abuse mitigation.
  • Beehiiv — newsletter delivery and subscriber management.

We do not authorize these providers to use your information for any purpose other than serving Branmoor.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information.
  • Opt out of email communications — every newsletter issue includes an unsubscribe link, and you can stop receiving email at any time.
  • California residents: request information about the categories of personal information we have collected and how it has been used, and request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions. We do not "sell" personal information as that term is defined under California law.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

Children

Branmoor is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained per Cloudflare's standard retention policy. Correspondence is retained as long as needed to respond and resolve the matter.

International transfers

Branmoor is operated from the United States. By using the site or subscribing to the newsletter, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new policy at branmoor.com/privacy. Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance.
